Breast augmentation surgery involves placement of an implant either above or below the pectoralis muscle via a well-concealed incision. This procedure takes 1-2 hours under general anesthesia. 

A breast lift, or mastopexy, involves raising the nipples to a higher point on the chest wall, and excising excess skin, thus tightening the breast. Implants can be placed at the same time if additional volume is desired, which is an augmentation and mastopexy.

Breast reduction is done to reduce the size of a large breast. Patients often have symptoms of back pain, bra strap soreness, and inflammation under the breast. The incisions are similar to a breast lift, as this procedure as repositions the nipple to a higher location, while reducing excess breast tissue. 

Breast revision is an option for women who are not happy with the results of earlier breast surgery. It can correct medical and/or cosmetic issues like rippling and capsular contracture. During breast revision, Dr. Hulsey may alter the scar-tissue capsule around the implant, support the breasts with Strattice Reconstructive Tissue Matrix to keep the implants in their proper place, or remove and replace the implants entirely.

Dr. Hulsey performs implant-based breast reconstruction. This an involve either a one stage procedure using silicone implant or two stage procedure using a temporary tissue expander, followed by placement of a silicone implant a few months later.
