A comprehensive approach to post-pregnancy rejuvenation, a Mommy Makeover combines procedures like breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and liposuction to restore your body to its pre-pregnancy shape.
This procedure targets stubborn fat deposits and sculpts the body by removing excess fat. It is a versatile option for those seeking a more contoured appearance.
Ideal for individuals looking to tighten loose abdominal muscles and remove excess skin, a tummy tuck can help achieve a flatter, firmer midsection.
An in office procedure that delivers long-term reduction in the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks and posterior thighs.
Brachioplasty, or arm lift surgery, is a treatment used to eliminate hanging, sagging skin on the upper arms, sometimes called “bat wings.”
EMSculpt is a non-invasive treatment that uses electromagnetic energy to build and tone muscles, especially in the abdomen and buttocks, providing a more sculpted appearance.
Exilis Ultra 360 combines radiofrequency and ultrasound to tighten skin and reduce fat, resulting in a more youthful and toned look.
Patients need to be at least 21 years of age for one of these procedures. It's important to note that liposuction and tummy tuck procedures are not weight-loss procedures. Dr. Hulsey requires her patients to be at their ideal body weight (or quite close to that), and to have maintained that weight for some time.
Why is this important? Because if you are still losing weight, there wall be additional excess, sagging skin after the procedure, and your results will not be ideal. Additionally, if weight is gained back, contour irregularities and skin stretching can occur.
Dr. Hulsey wants her patients to be healthy and happy with their results. Patients must also have realistic expectations and goals. While surgery can improve your appearance, it is not the "end all, be all". Dr. Hulsey is transparent in going through what to expect after surgery, and a thorough discussion during your consultation is the best way to learn what's right for you.
The recovery process after body contouring varies depending on the procedure, but there are some common elements. Patients will be in some type of compression garment after the procedure. The length of time this is worn depends on the procedure.
Patients can typically expect swelling, bruising, and discomfort, which subside gradually. Staying hydrated, following post-operative instructions, and taking prescribed medications are essential during the recovery period. It’s crucial to gradually reintroduce physical activities and maintain a balanced diet to support healing. While it's important to follow all post-operative instructions, it is vital that patients walk for a couple of minutes every couple of hours to promote blood flow and prevent blood clots. Until you are released from restrictions, other exercises must be avoided.
